EU-Russia summit tackles thorny gas issue

EU and Russian leaders met in Stockholm on Wednesday for a summit dominated by energy issues and climate control. Swedish Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt hosted Russian President Dmitry Medvedev for the meeting. During the summit, EU officials said Russia agreed that it was ready to cut its greenhouse gas emissions by 20 to 25 percent by 2020 from 1990 levels, raising its target from 15 percent just weeks ahead of a UN climate summit.
